Bio

Roth was a 29th round draft pick of the Baltimore Orioles in 2010.  He spent two years in the Orioles minor league system before moving on to the Frontier Leaugue’s Shaumberg Boomers.  After one season with the Boomers, he was forced to retire due to injuries.  After his retirement Roth moved into coaching, serving as bench coach, hitting coach and pitching coach for the Boomers from 2014-2016, spending his winters as manager of the Oregon Lumberjacks of the California Winter League (2015-2017). 

 

As manager of the Laker Erie Crushers Roth had a record of 197-187 (.513). He was named Frontier League Manager of the Year in 2019 leading the Crushers to the Eastern Division title. The Crushers team ERA of 2.91 was the best in the Frontier league.
