Signed with Gateway on August 11, 2016 after completing a successful rookie campaign with the Alpine Cowboys of the Pecos League, Eric will look to build off of his All-Star year.

The outfielder batted .397 in 59 games with the Cowboys, while scoring 63 runs and swiping 35 bases over the course of the season, all tops on the team.

Prior to the start of his professional career, Eric played at three different colleges. First, at Eastern Arizona Junior College, followed by Temple University, and lastly at Hofstra University, the last being a now defunct program.
