Ziegler, 22, signed with the Grizzlies on July 25, 2015 after previously spending time with the Washington Wild Things. The southpaw pitched 3.1 scoreless innings in his lone appearance with the Wild Things.

The Mahomet, IL native recently completed his senior season at Lipscomb University in 2015. Ziegler posted an 0-3 record with a 5.96 ERA in 19 appearances as a senior. As a junior, Ziegler posted a team-best 3.10 ERA in 40.2 innings of work. 

The southpaw began his collegiate career at Parkland Community College.
