2013 marks McClendon’s fifth season in the Frontier League, with three of them coming at Gateway.  McClendon is a .297 career hitter with 16 home runs, 56 doubles and 109 RBI in 237 games.  The Lufkin, TX native has stolen 47 career bases.  McClendon batted .288 last season with eight home runs and 49 RBI in 84 games.

“Chris has proved that he is one of the best overall players in the league based on his production each season,” Warren remarked.  “He goes hard every night, plays great defense and is also a great leader.  We still haven’t seen him at his best.”
