- Pitched in eight games with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (MLB Draft League), posting a 3.52 ERA, 16 strikeouts, and five walks in 15 1/3 innings before signing with Gateway

- Played one year collegiately at the University of Houston (NCAA D-I), owning a 3.72 ERA in 11 games (one start) with 14 strikeouts and 10 walks in 19 1/3 innings as a senior in 2025

- Also played three seasons at Troy University (NCAA D-I), putting up a 4.84 ERA in 16 games (six starts) as a junior in 2024 with 22 strikeouts and 24 walks in 35 1/3 innings

- Was a full-time starter as a freshman and sophomore at Troy, striking out 71 and walking 31 in 61 1/3 innings over 14 games (12 starts) in 2023 with a 7.48 ERA

- Comes from a baseball-playing family, with father Mark playing at Auburn University (1989-92) before pitching professionally in the New York Mets organization for five years (reaching as high as Triple-A), then coaching at both NC State and Auburn; brother Brooks also played for Auburn (2019-22)
