Sauget, Ill. – The Gateway Grizzlies trailed 3-0 on Sunday night at GCS Ballpark when Grizzlies outfielder Brandon Thomas stepped in with the bases loaded.
Thomas crushed a grand slam over the left field fence. But, there was only one problem. Thomas smashed a car windshield in the parking lot beyond left field. It turns out…the shattered windshield belonged to his Toyota Tundra.
The windshield shattered and so did the score after that one shot. The Grizzlies went on to score 13 more times and explode for a season-high 17 runs.
