March 24, 2006 - Baseball's Best Burger continues to garner press. The Grizzlies' new concession item will be featured on KSDK's Show Me St. Louis program Monday March 27. It was previous announced that the show would air Friday. Show Me St. Louis airs weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on KSDK (Channel 5) Cold Pizza serves up Baseball's Best. . .Grizzlies General Manager Tony Funderburg was a guest on ESPN2’s Cold Pizza Tuesday March 21. Funderburg discussed the Grizzlies latest addition to the Grizzlies’ concession menu, Baseball’s Best Burger. Funderburg shared the burger with hosts Dana Jacobson and Jay Crawford in studio in New York. Crawford called the burger "one the best things he has ever eaten." Cold Pizza airs weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. central time on ESPN2 television. Baseball’s Best Burger, which will officially debut at the Joe Buck All-Star Game May 6 at GMC Stadium, is a premium bacon cheeseburger served on an original Krispy Kreme donut for a bun. The Grizzlies have conducted numerous taste-tests, including a sneak peak for fans at the annual December 10th sale. Several local media members have tried the burger. Most reviews have been favorable. More press for Baseball’s Best. . .Stories about the burger have been featured on ESPN.com, CNN’s Headline News, and Sports Illustrated. Local press has included the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Belleville News Democrat, Fox2 News in the morning, and the KEZK (102.5 FM) Morning Show.
