Jason Seever enters his first season with the Grizzlies and second as a professional in 2019.
Seever, 24, pitched last season with the Sonoma (Calif.) Stompers of the independent Pacific Association after completing his college career at the University of Arizona.
Seever made 13 appearances for the Stompers, all in relief, and en route to a 1-0 record and 3.12 ERA. He struck out 16 and walked eight over 17 innings.
Seever also made 13 relief appearances last spring as an Arizona senior and posted a 2.45 ERA over seven innings with the Wildcats. His best collegiate season, statistically, came in 2014 as a freshman at Santa Clara (Calif.) University — where he spent his first three years of college — when he appeared in 29 games out of the bullpen with a 3.12 ERA over 40 innings.
