Tanner Cable enters his second season with Gateway. He was originally selected by the Grizzlies in the 2017 Frontier League Draft.

As a rookie in 2017, Cable appeared in 32 games out of the bullpen. He racked up a 4-4 record to along with a 3.91 ERA and struck out 46 batters in 46 innings. If he cuts down on his 45 walks from a year ago, Cable could become a dominant reliever in the Frontier League — opponents hit only .198 against him in 2017.

He struck out five while only giving up three hits and three walks. Cable pitched especially well against Evansville: In four appearances against the Otters, he threw eight scoreless innings and allowed only one hit.
