SAUGET, Ill. - The Gateway Grizzlies are excited to release home, away and preseason dates for the 2018 season at GCS Credit Union Ballpark, according to the announced schedule by the Frontier League.

Gateway will commence exhibition play with a preseason game in Marion, Ill. against the Miners on Tuesday, May 1. The Grizzlies then track back to Sauget for the first of two annual day-games, featuring a matinee with Southern Illinois on May 3. The close of the Grizzlies preseason pits Gateway and River City in a home/away, two-game set over May 4-5.

The Grizzlies 2018 campaign will begin on Friday, May 11 with a weekend series against the defending Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers. Opening Day at the Ballpark is sponsored by GCS Credit Union and will feature giveaways, live music, wild promotions and more.

Dates are subject to change as adjustments are expected to accommodate further Frontier League alterations. Decisions regarding official gametimes and promotions will be made post-new year, and should be available on in early 2018.
