The 2014 campaign will mark Richard Seigel’s first season in professional baseball. Grizzlies Manager Phil Warren selected Seigel with his first round pick in the 2014 Frontier League Draft.
Seigel provided a left-handed power bat for UC San Diego (D-II) during his final two collegiate seasons, belting 14 home runs for the Tritons. He led the team with ten home runs and 38 RBI during his senior season, while starting all 50 games. Seigel earned All-CCAA honorable mentions in both his junior and senior campaigns.
Seigel spent his freshman year at Revelle College in San Diego before heading to West LA College for his sophomore year.
